General Noticeboard

Fish care equipment

As you know, fish care equipment is now provided for all members at each of our three lakes. We'd like to remind everyone to treat this equipment with due care and respect and report any damaged items to the respective lake manager so that they can arrange for them to either be fixed or replacements purchased.

Waiting list closed

We're still being contacted by people asking to be added to the membership waiting list, giving other member's names as a referral. The committee closed the waiting list in July 2022 and have no plans to re-open it until the number of people on the current list reduces.

Warwick Lane Netting

Netting at Warwick Lane

We undertook a very successful netting operation at Warwick Lane in early December last year with over 850lbs of silver fish removed and re-homed. This was done to re-balance the biomass of the lake as the sliver fish population was becoming too large.

Some members have commented that their carp fishing has improved since the netting took place, and we've also noticed that some of the new carp introduced last year have gained significant weight.

Little Grange map

An up-to-date map of Little Grange has now been produced and a large printed version will be installed on the lake notice board in the next few weeks. Could all members fishing the lake please take note of the swim boundaries and maximum casting distances as we know there has been some confusion recently with regards to the fishable boundaries of each swim. As we're sure you'll appreciate, it's impossible to denote these areas with 100% accuracy, so we ask all members to adopt a 'common sense' approach with regards the boundaries of any particular swim you are fishing and be respectful of each other so that we can all enjoy our time spent at the lake. If anyone has any queries with regards to the map, please contact the lake managers or club secretary and they will be happy to discuss the matter with you.

Warwick Lane re-stocking

November 2023

We're pleased to announce that another batch of carp have been put into Warwick Lane as part of our on-going re-stocking programme. Click on the image to see all 10 fish that were introduced to the lake.

Photos of all 58 carp stocked so far have been put up in the Bog Lodge at the lake.

Big thanks

To TAC member Peter Mathews for fixing several broken landing nets and poles at Dunton, your generosity and skill is very much appreciated.

  Unsafe rigs

August 2023

Unfortunately, the fishery management teams on all 3 lakes are finding rigs that are not fit for purpose. They're being found on the floor in swims, in trees/snags and in some cases have been removed from fishes mouths.  THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!  There is more than enough information available online or in the angling press to enable you to reproduce a multitude of fish-safe rigs. If you aren't confident enough to tie rigs properly then most tackle shops sell them ready-made from most of the leading brands - there is no excuse for putting a rig in the water that could potentially damage our fish.
